Sad news indeed. I wasn't much into his DIO band .. however his work on Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Black Sabbath was phenomenal.

Mob Rules and Dehumanizer are both some of my favorite Sabbath albums and Rainbow's "Stargazer" is IMO one of the most epic songs of the 70s.

I'm so glad that I seen Heaven and Hell on tour a few years back.
