So...they don't do this with alcohol?

Are you for bringing back Prohibition, then? Declaring a War on Booze?

I mean, that worked out alright, right?

Adding to a problem is not a solution.

I never proposed bringing back prohabition. However, legalizing harmful and destructive drugs to raise money for Obama's socialist programs (or any programs) is not an answer.

It is. Like alcohol, many of those others can be used responsibly as well. So we should deal with it more responsibly, rather than creating business for organized crime.

I never said alcohol didn't cause. But this discussion wasn't about making alcohol illegal.

You stated that most drugs, harmful or not, should be legalized in order to raise money for various social programs.

Giving people greater tools to destroy themselves to get some more tax dollars that would probably be wasted on various pork programs is not a responsible answer.

Are you advocating that any business organized crime is involved in should be legalized in order to raise more tax dollars?

Earmarked for social programs was in jest, intended to tweak. They SHOULD be legalized, regulated and taxed, with the tax money used like taxes are.

And any drug can be harmful.

Interesting you would categorize programs intended to help people as "pork".

And plenty of people use various substances recreationally without "destroying" themselves. Let's have a little less of the Daddy State in our lives, please.

Why do you insist on asking such broad blanket questions under the pretence of debate? If you want to debate, debate, try not to indulge in such obvious "gotcha" tactings.

I never said this..I said the money would most likely end up being spent on pork programs.

As for the rest of your comments, I still don't see any logic in legalizing harmful chemicals in order to raise money for any program. And I've yet to see you point out the difference between allowing drugs to be legalized to raise money for social programs and legalizing other illegal activities as well. If you can then feel free to do so. If not, then please point out why specifically you feel that harmful drugs should be legalized.

I don't see any logic in keeping some "harmful" chemicals illegal and some legal, based on the most arbitrary reasons.

If you have other activities you would like to discuss, feel free to do so.

Already did that.

I think maybe there's a reason why you want drugs legalized, Junius.

And not to raise money for social programs.

Ah, more of that unique brand of "logic"...

8)

No one can take a position on principle, in your "logic". There must always be something in it for themselves.

Well, maybe in your world.

Funny to hear Specialist Stone talk of "logic" when he's advocating the legalization of chemicals which can harm people in order to raise money for "social programs".

And listen to "Loki" talk of logic when he's protesting the legalization of drugs, yet saying he's NOT for bringing back making alcohol illegal.

Yeah, I don't get it, either.

Tstone has been advocating legalization of MOST illegal drugs...to raise money for Obama's socialist programs.

You really do need to keep up with the discussions.

I don't get how a 39 year old geeky looking guy ends up on the radio instead of fighting for his country...but that's life I guess.
