Yeah... it's a little syrupy, which is to be expected from Spielberg. Definitely watchable, tho.

Are you talking about all this freaking record breaking rain we've been having in the midwest these past 3 months? Yeah, I'm watching it, and getting sick of it!

Yep, the syrup was flowing in the last episode, which was a bit of a let-down from the premiere night.
We've got some serious Over/Under-Acting going on as well, by Wyle's kids on the show.

Under: The youngest son is incapable of pulling off the emotional scenes. He doesn't have the chops.
Over: The older son chews the scenery as though he learned his craft on straight-to-video SyFy Monster of the Week fare.

Still, there's not much on the tube these days other than the Regular Show. It's Summertime and you know what that means...

I'm just waiting for the inevitable twist. Like the government is at fault for the whole invasion or the invaders came to stop us from destroying enviroment or some crap like that.

Yep. If only we had stopped Global Warming by taxing the GINO out of everyone, then the aliens wouldn't have invaded, or if only
we had elected Al Gore as Inter-Galactic President, the whole thing might have been averted.

Burn Notice is back on. Excellent show! Torchwood starts a new season next week. Can't say much for Doctor Who this year, as I thought it kinda stunk. Moffat is wrecking the show and we're going back to the 1980's when the show was on again off again. It doesn't help that BBCA chops every ep to 45 minutes air time, even if it's a 75 minute episode.
If I get a chance I may check out Falling Skies, but I don't get into sappy much.

Checked it out based on the views expressed here. Not bad for starting out.

The Charles Manson looking chef is a bit much. Its a lot like Galactica, without the mythology or the claustrophobia.

I'll bet I would enjoy Burn Notice (The Chin), and Torchwood, but I haven't really been watching much tube lately. I watch Regular Show, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Castle, B Bang, and now
I'm trying out Falling Skies. It reminds me of the War of the Worlds series back in the eighties. It could get bad, quickly, but Noah Wyle is a decent actor, provided he doesn't sleep-walk to get
his cheque. Who am I kidding? It'll probably go downhill quickly just like Jericho.

I'm still pissed that they cancelled Reaper, Andy Barker P.I., Dead Like Me,...

Yeah, I like Burn Notice. Have you tried Covert Affairs?
