I'll be annoyingly logical and say the Captain didn't need to die, that was a total unnecessary waste, and not properly handled by him at all. I hate set ups like that, that make the character look dumb.
The other thing that annoyed me was the complete lack of concern for safety at the funeral as if all is ok now that four lackeys are dead. Let's just forget the fact that there is this mysterious, powerful and rich person or organization behind all of this that's still in operation, let's just go to the funeral and not post guards or wear bullet proof vests. ARGH!

Of course because the key characters are never allowed to be together, they'll drum up something stupid like she can't remember what happened after she got shot so she won't remember that Castle said he loves her.
I don't mind them taking a couple of seasons to bring a couple together but when they drag it on forever it just gets to a point where I don't even care anymore I'm so fed up with all the delays and people not telling each other how they feel.

The show...is not real.
